We are CURRENTLY hiring for: Summer 2018
**Looking to add part time Independent Contractors with 3 years experience working with cats and small animals in veterinary, boarding kennel or rescue / shelter settings. Hands-on experience required. Familiar with pet care and safe handling for medication administration and treatments. Must be willing to learn to medicate cats! Preference given to CVT / LVT, veterinary candidates.

Pay ranges DOE.
Responsibilities and Duties
Administrative tasks including scheduling, record keeping, mileage reporting. Care and handling of pets and private property as if they were your own; treating all animals and private property with the utmost respect and vigilance. Communication with clients via text, email and phone calls. Responsible for all activities conducted inside (and outside) client's homes and property.
Promotional and marketing duties as needed. Special events participation as needed. Care and medication administration for pets including cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, lizards, reptiles, etc. (oral, topical, sublingual, transdermal, injectable, etc.) Must be willing to learn to become familiar with and care for scared, unhappy/fractious cats. Willing and able to learn acceptable protocol and handling techniques for the above described pets.
Qualifications and Skills
Any combination of experience, training, certification and work related or volunteer jobs working with animals in veterinary, boarding, specialty practice or shelter & rescue settings. Minimum of 3 years experience is required. Preference will be given to CVT/LVT's in the veterinary field. The more experience you have; the more money you will make! Preference given to applicants that can administer insulin and subcutaneous fluids. Willingness to learn medication administration is key to success. IC's will need to pay for costs associated with background check, liability insurance and mileage app.
